A new automat is opening the the east village of NYC. Its called Bamn! and its styled after Dutch machines. They are still in use and popular in The Netherlands. Automats were very popular at one time in the NYC, good food fast and hot always is. Far from a coin operated snack machine, this is restaurant food served in a new(old) way. I think this will be a hit.
After Johnny's Cafe lost their lease, and were bulldozed off lower Greenville avenue.Things looked bad for a good breakfast on the avenue. I had tried Nick's cafe to no avail. My friend suggested that we try Cafe Brazil, the place had just recently opened. We took a table on the patio, it was about 10 in the morning, still cool enough for alfresco. I ordered the Brazilian Breakfast and my friend the Migas. Okay so far...The menu stated that my breakfast was to be:
