This list is a guide to help you buy fruit, that is in season and
therefor at it's peak flavor, and best price. This list is by no means
all inclusive but it does contain just about all the fruit one may find
in a local market like Kroger or a Whole Foods.
As I have said in the
past- form a relationship with your produce person. They will be able to
show you how to pick the best produce. The produce that is ripe and ready.

- Bananas...March to June
- Berries all types... May to August
- Cherries...May to August
- Figs...June to October
- Grapefruit...November thru May
- Grapes...all year round
- Kiwi fruit...just about anytime
- Lemons...all the time
- Limes...same as lemons
- Mango...May to August
- Melons all varieties...April to January
- Nectarines...June to August

- Peaches...April to October
- Pears...anytime is OK
- Persimmons...October to December
- Pineapples...Year-round
- Plums...May to September
- Pomegranates...September thru November
- Tangerine...October to May
