What's for dinner? The Omnivore's Dilemma : A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollan is a very sobering treatment of that age old question. As a chef, I was stunned the authors knowledge of food, where it comes from, how it is used and it's relationship to the ecology of this planet. I recommend reading this book with an open mind and heart. There are clues and insights that very well may help fix this mess we call the environment.
